I. ADMISSION:
All classes are conducted in
Russian. So foreign students not knowing the Russian language are only admitted to the
preparatory faculty. Applications should be mailed to arrive at SurikovInstitute no later than I, October.
The Institute can arrange a visa support. The
documents required for visa are:
-a notary attested copy of
the complete secondary education certificate.
- copy of the page of the
passport with the surname, date of birth and passport number.
If we decide to adopt you to
our Institute, we send you the invitation.
To be admitted to the first
course a foreign citizen sends to the address of the Institute (or brings himself)
photographs or slides of his works.(In drawing - a human head, a nude.
In painting - a nude, a human
head, composition)
The admissions Commission
examine on the possibility to study at the first course. After that, the foreign citizen
hands in documents listed in the Contract, pays for the studies, signs a contract and
starts to study. The studies start on the first of October. The documents required to
enter the Institute:
1. Autobiography and personal
questionnaire of the established form.
2. A notary attested copy of
the complete secondary education of all subjects that were studied and the marks received
on them.
3. A copy of the Birth
Certificate.
4. A medical statement on the
general health condition and a certificate of analysis for AIDS.
5.10 photographs 3 on 4.
All documents mentioned in
issues 2,3,4 must be translated into Russian and notary attested or attested at the
Embassy.
2.TUTITION COST of
one year:
- Preparatory
faculty(one year course) – 120 000rub
3. All classes are conducted
in Russian. Foreign students study Russian at the
Preparatory faculty during
the academic year (I October-20 June) at the
Preparatory faculty students
also study Speciality, and Literature.
- painting 15 hours a week;
- drawing 15 hours a week;
- Russian Language 15 hours a
week.
After finishing the
preparatory course you will take an exam in the Russian Language and painting.
After passing these exams you
will be admitted to the first course.
Every year has two semesters:
1st semester- 1 October - 25 January;
2-d semester- 12 February - 10 June.
The students have exams two
times a year.
4. The student graduates from
the Institute upon doing a diploma work. The students who successfully fulfilled the full
volume of curriculum and defended their diploma work receive a State Diploma of an
establishedform indicating the
qualification in the chosen speciality and are awarded the title of Master of Fine Art .
5. Students are provided with
accommodation in a students hostel, in double rooms with a private bathroom.Accommodation, medical insurance and food is not
included in the tuition fee
Cost of accommodation – 21600
rub one year
Cost of medical
insurance is 6500 rub for one year.
